Last week we returned to Mt. Dean Stone even though its higher reaches are still closed to dogs because of elk activity. We climbed from Souza, descended to Barmeyer and then retraced our steps.

Blue Mountain is our closest area for hiking and has a large selection of trails. On Thursday we were there to roam some less well-traveled trails.
